I used to care about the Velvet Rope and all that but since 9-11 I've lost all interest. I went to the Diesel party the other night and it seemed so shallow.

A:Don't get us wrong, Billy. We care deeply about societal issues as well. But our attitude is that life is about having fun. Caring about others, but laughter is key especially confronting some of the world's tougher challenges.
Our site, email, columns, shouldn't be the end-all be-all for you, but we are the place for you to go when you just want to know where to go to have some fun.
Everyone needs a breather.
It's hard to fight the good fight if you don't have a place to take a load off.
Live a balanced life. Treat your fellow Hipster (& those not so hip, too!) well. Mock them if you like but with love. Pay attention to the issues. Put your money where your heart is. And when you are emotioned- out to the point of tears, come hang out with us at Diesel- we love the Denim Gallery. Don't be afraid to be happy about a goody bag, drink a champagne. Congratulate yourself on knowing when to give yourself some rest- SO you can get up and be strong to do good another day.
