This blonde wood restaurant is low on decor (hey, beach photos anyone?) but a pleasant New American menu in the Mission District. Cured salmon salad comes with a scrumptious pickled onion yoghurt dressing, gem lettuce salad has just enough pancetta, Diablo scallops are done with chili and garlic, and the pastas are a winner, be it a goat cheese number or the fava bean raviolis. We were less than impressed with the service, though friendly, they don't seem to have the veteran service staff that befits a restaurant so frequented by reviewers.
