Le Duplex is what happens when the French miss the south of France. Owned by Sami Elabed (Kensington Park Hotel), Raphael Coeffic, who runs the Little Baobab restaurant in the Mission, and Antoine Crumeyrolle, this Mission District red- lit, brick wall place has a back room dance floor that fits up to 100 comfortably and spins Euro 70s, 80s and disco. Even the bartenders are serving up Kronenbourg beers. There’s five VIP booths with bottle service and you’ll forgive them the boring mahogany bar, wannabe vintage mirror and projected computer graphics when your favourite St Tropez tune comes on.
