James Perse redefined how women saw the t shirt. By making it double layered, he made it possible for women to wear casual clothes even during dressy occasions. And now the Californian clothier, who dressed Owen Wilson and Ben Stiller for Starsky and Hutch, is bringing this same wear- all- the- time ability to New York men's closets. One imagines that his trip West to East would have been a road trip filled with incredibly soft t shirts, lots of writing in a journal and somehow end up on a beach.
