The Latin version of Jean Georges ABC Kitchen shows the chefs and management here have not lost their touch. The expansive room that is back to back with ABC Kitchen serves up Spanish and Mexican inspired food organized into groups by Light & Bright, Golden & Crispy, Masa & Tortillas, you get the idea. We liked anything done with their sugar snap peas, such as a salad with housemade sour cream; the griddle fish tacos with a cabbage chili pickle, and a charred octopus. The traditional tapas dishes such as a patatas bravas or the ham and cheese fritters aren't as standout so we recommend veering away from classics to more unusual sounding dishes. The bill can catch up to you fast here because these are shared tasting portions and each averages about $15. As well, a word to the wise, the waits can be staggering. Walking in as a stranger can mean a 2 hour wait at the bar, though who you know here can cut that time to almost nothing.
