This restaurant surprised us. Regular jetsetting between the real deal- in China- and its next best thing, in Chinatown- means that you can't package up dimsum, mark it up and sell us on style alone. But this awesome destination, a collaboration between renowned Beijing restaurateur Jin R, Jean-George protege Angelo Sosa and restaurateur Quentin Dante is fantastic. Clear, vibrant flavours in the food and the 55 seat space designed by architect Glen Coben are both refined and worth your time. Try the tea smoked chicken with star anise or the "drunken" peeky toe crab salad with egg white custard.
