An unassuming Argentinean bistro which embodies the latest trend of "Quaint - Chic," Azul is the perfect antidote to the multitude of overdone, overly pretentious NY "scene" restaurants. An authentic menu including famous Argentinean steak chimichurri and seafood so fresh that it's served with the heads, eyes and all, still intact - ok, perhaps that feature is of questionable appeal - and a heavenly dulce de leche creme brulee, draws notables like Jacqueline Schnabel and models Yamila Diaz Rahi and Adriana Lima. Michael Musto and Patrick McDonald were both spotted at the opening of Stefano Villa and Fernando Dallorso's Lower East Side location which was, incidentally, formerly occupied by a fortune teller. We wonder what she has to say for Azul's future . . .
