Although they say inspired by Cuban social clubs of the 1950s, Alan Philips and Josh Shames' 8,000 square foot lounge is more like 50s meets 80s. The main floor in red, with a black and white checkered floor, palm trees, and 20 foot columns looks like Little Havana but offers board games of Checkers, Backgammon, and Candy Land for those looking for a new way to connect with their drinking buddies. Downstairs, the members only (what else) area hides a private door leading to the Founder's Lounge where the ultra elite can give in to their geek days with arcade classics Arkanoid and Ms. Pacman. Don't worry, there are the requisite mojitos, and when you've had too many, beds. Given Shames and Philips' dance on the table, there's-no-tomorrow party crowd, better snag one of those beds right at the beginning of The Social Club, while you still know what's happened on it...
