Next to Casa Casuarina on Ocean Drive, Hotel Victor is both relaxing and star- gazing all at once. Designed by Jacques Garcia (he did the Costes), with an aquatic theme, such as the illuminated jellyfish tank, all rooms overlooking the ocean and a rimless pool facing the Atlantic, 88 rooms and suites cater to the likes of Paris Hilton who loves the Vix Restaurant and Serena Williams who loves the Spa V. She's also stopped in to promote a $1k bath (made up of French bottled water, and served to you with foie gras and chocolate. Ok, not too green but oh so indulgent.) It's true Miami here; the penthouse suite has an outdoor Jacuzzi and a Viking stove so that the hotel chef can make meals for super special guests. But perhaps the star of the hotel is not the stars; rather it's the seven room in-house Spa V. Inspired by Turkish hammams, it's the sort of place one might recover from Art Basel's many parties (the spa menu actually has a Morning After treatment.) Our favourite peaceful offering done in the 6000 square foot space is the Vichy V massage; summer 'rain' falls on you while a therapist rubs you down.
