No one doubts that Sam Nazarian and Brent Bolthouse (Katsuya, S Bar etc) can fill a room; in fact, perhaps no one does it better than them. As if that weren't enough though, they added industry heavies such as Brett Ratner, Ben Silverman, film producer Scott Stuber, and Endeavor’s Patrick Whitesell, to partner in their new West Hollywood supper club, Foxtail. Throw dancing into the mix upstairs, and the fact that this place is open for drinks by 6 and that the kitchen is helmed by Chicago Top Chef contestant Antonia Lofaso, and this is the scene of many celebrations, deals, and gossipy happenings. Though the room has a formal feel (think of it as nice dining minus the stuffiness), the menu is more affordable than some of the other deal- driven dinner spots and eats from Lofaso (ex Spago) include tagliatelle with a lamb ragu, steak tartare with salsify and quail egg, striped bass with saffron cauliflower puree, seared Big Eye tuna and steak frites with fried egg and black truffle. Don't miss the lavender pot de creme. A 1970s inspired spot with touches of brass and rolling chairs, there is also of course table- side bottle service and a Serato sound system with a rotating who’s who of DJ talent. p.s. dinner downstairs doesn't guarantee you entry to the bar and sometimes they're a bit cranky about that, even when there's not a patron up there yet.
