Bart's Sloane Avenue, Chelsea Cloisters SW3 3DW 011 44 207 581 3355 Inside an apartment building and down a hallway is this hidden bar. Done properly speakeasy style, you need to be recognised or have made a booking. Not that they're snotty about it in the least, it's just a tiny, tiny place. Once through the cartoon wall-papered entryway, you're in the one small room of intimate tables (there's a train rack above for your goods) and you're back drinking with your old private school alumni. If you didn't go to private school, you might feel a bit out of place here as it's certainly where the Eton and St Andrews (yes, that St Andrews) set grooves to the 80s before or after hitting other swishy spots. Owned by the same folks who Maggie's and Bunga Bunga (favourite haunts of certain young Royals), you can expect pretty much that same circle. |
