A Chance at VIP with Hotel Costes 5's Launch
We'll forgive you if you don't know of the Hotel Costes in Paris, but if you don't know Stephane Pompougnac's CDs for the hotel, then you haven't been in a record store lately.
On October 15th, the much- anticipated Hotel Costes 5 will be released.
And we have two tickets to the press & VIP- only opening for one lucky reader. Keep reading to learn how to enter.
Here's what you need to know about Stephane and the HC CD series:
1. What? Who?
Stephane Pompougnac, clean cut, charming 34 year old Parisian, is so famous for his work, he's one of 5 deejays in W Magazine's DJ list, for having played Mick Jagger's parties. The music is lounge, Shirley Bassey, bossa nova, Madonna, jazz, Rinocerose and "My Funny Valentine" all in one.
In addition to Hotel Costes 5, the project that will make him a household name is his CD for Saks Fifth Ave., "Stephane Pompougnac for Saks". No dead-cow music at that shop!
2. The Following
Sir Terrence Conran, Damien Loeb, Shoshanna Lonstein love him. Cameron Diaz flies him in. Even Moby likes him.
He's played Tapis Rouge, Morgans Bar, the Hudson, Cellar Bar, Lotus in NY; Les Bains, Queen, Folies Pigalle, Privilege, Locomotive in France; Bambu, Rain, the National, Mynt in Miami. French shop Colette books studio time with him.
You've heard him for the catwalk at Yves St Laurent's shows and for Gucci's star- studded store openings.
3. The Opening
Although Hotel Costes 5 isn't available till October 15th, you can pre-order. But even better, one lucky HipGuide reader in NYC or able to make it to NYC (travel's on you though!) will win tickets to the pre-release VIP &
press event in Manhattan on October 9th where Stephane will spin. Also the NY Water Taxi has thrown in a pass for you to get around that night via their gorgeous BOSE stereo-equipped, boat taxis. In the past, a signed-up HipGuide reader had one chance per person, but since we really want this to go to a true Stephane fan, you can increase your odds of winning by referring friends to receive the HipGuide email!
