This power lunch spot gets a shout out for two key reasons. They've managed to blend the thing Boston is known for, seafood, with the one thing restaurant owners might someday be known for, saving the honey bee. (Quick aside: honey bees are in crisis. Their pollination and patterns are responsible for sustaining at least a third of the world's food, if not more, and their utter destruction would mean the end of civilisation. True. Now lesson finished.) As Boston's first restaurant to host hives (utterly safe for you), this restaurant with its own apiary will soon produce 180 pounds of honey so for sure you should be trying their honey roasted wild salmon. But we also love their enormous lobster club, the ridiculously- good pistou soup, the artfully- presented Nicoise salad (ingredients laid out separately for those of you still into separating your food, grade- school style), and the burger trilogy (lobster, tuna and Kobe beef.) Those of you lucky enough to be present at the hotel for breakfast; the must- have is the French toast, with fresh fruit, and their power fruit smoothies (a meal in and of itself for anyone trying to lose a bit of weight.) Best of all though is the Olive Oil Private Cellar (for bookings) and we love the way the kitchen is so flexible - which is how they made the power list in the first place.
