Great Bay 500 Commonwealth Avenue 617 532 5300 Though it gets mixed reviews, Great Bay does one important thing. It gives Fenway goers something other than hot dogs. In the Hotel Commonwealth, Michael Schlow and Christopher Myers (Via Matta, Radius), the restaurant focuses on fish with the usual chowder, oysters and grilled fish offerings. However extra special is the yellowtail and bass ceviche; and swordfish with bok choy. Oddly enough, desserts don’t match the elegant offerings but veer towards cookies and milk? Perhaps to appease BU students whose parents are about to check out of the hotel. |
