Around for at least 18 years under the direction of Steve DiFillippo, Davio's is a Boston institution. Free form lasagna (what the hell is that anyway), applewood smoked chicken, homemade sausage. But in its new locale, Park Square in Back Bay, Davio's waves goodbye to red brick and stuffiness (in this city?) and embraces glamour. Tuscan purples and golds, a pizza bar and open kitchen make this Northern Italian Steakhouse hot.
