The fast-gentrifying section of Beantown, (the hip Washington Street renaissance) is home to the upscale Mediterranean restaurant Gallia. Overlooking Blackstone Square and with Stefan Zimei (the Federalist, the Harvest) as executive chef and Alex Ricciuti as pastry chef, Gallia hosts a South end crowd (the Hat Sisters) that knows chic. With the strawberry- rhubarb- polenta cobbler, it's all about remaking the classics here.
